Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. Are membership dues tax-deductible? Yes, membership dues are partially tax-deductible. Members will receive a receipt showing value of tax-deductible component. In 2021, the tax-deductible component is $40.  Please consult your tax advisor for more information.
  2. Is there any installment plan to pay fees? Annual membership is payable in full each year. Life membership may be made in four equal annual installments of $275 each
  3. Why do we require membership fee? Membership fees help cover all operational expenses, communication, event staff when required, and more. All Board members are volunteers but as we grow, and at events, we will require professional help that we pay for.  We also buy books at select events for members.
  4. Will members get free admission to any events? Yes, members will enjoy free admission to all online events, and special exclusive gifts each year.
  5. What about family members? Family members (spouse and dependent children) will receive free admission to all online events. Parents, siblings, and family members are eligible for discounted admission to online events
  6. What about live events? Members will receive discounted admission to live events.  Guests will get discount on non-member rates of admission.
  7. Will Members receive a Membership Card? Yes, all members and registered family members will receive a digital membership card. Names and recent photographs are required with application for membership.
  8. How can Alumni help? Alumni can help in many ways:
    1. Join as a member
    2. Offer Webinars, workshops and mentor those in need
    3. Participate in the IIMBEF Club by setting a booth in our Exhibition Hall
    4. Contribute content for our Library
